1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Smart Page Monitor collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Smart Page Monitor browser extension and related services.

Smart Page Monitor is operated by Sean Hart. By using the extension, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.

2. Information we collect

Smart Page Monitor collects only the information reasonably necessary to provide webpage monitoring and notification features.

Monitored webpage information

When you choose to monitor a webpage, the extension may collect and store:

  • The webpage URL
  • The webpage title
  • The website icon, when available
  • Your selected monitoring interval
  • Page content or a processed representation of it
  • Change detection results
  • Dates and times associated with page checks

Installation information

The extension may generate an anonymous installation identifier and installation secret. These credentials allow the service to associate your monitored pages with your browser installation without requiring you to create an account.
